City of Mississauga

City of Mississauga
Sports Week is an opportunity to “Celebrate the Spirit of Sports" and put a spotlight on our city and the diversity of sports and healthy activities in our community.
The Fall/Winter week unfolds with support from the City of Mississauga and Derrydale GC as we connect and engage residents and visitors with a variety or sports and physical activities; both scheduled and spontaneous; much is free family fun, some with entry fees; indoors and outdoors in our beautiful city.
From celebrating the start up of the Fall/Winter sports and physical activity season; and the Annual Terry Fox School Day runs; healthy food and nutrition at Farmer's Markets; to honouring Truth and Reconciliation; sport and healthy active living continue to strengthen.
On the ice – Mustangs Ringette, OJHL’s Chargers, MGHL & Mississauga Jr Hurricanes, Cruisers, Figure Skating, Curling and Streetsville Derby's.

National Truth and Reconciliation Day - Every Child Matters.

Join in the walks, runs and rolls - give to the important causes - whether formally or informally. Every contribution helps make a difference. Drop off for the Food Banks Thanksgiving Drives - now underway.

A variety of sports and physical activities throughout the week
including walks/rolls/games – parks & trails – golf, disc golf, tennis, pickleball, Sports Hall of Fame exhibits "Celebrating Sports Week" Fall & winter seasons – swimming, soccer, basketball, field & ice hockey, ringette, cricket, bowling, darts, boccia, pickleball, and so much more...
