Sauga well repped at qualifiers!
5 pin bowling is disappearing in our world so it was a pleasure to see our Special Olympians take to the lanes competing for spots at the Provincials. There's something nostalgic about the good times that bring people together as they bowl for glory. Strikes, spares and a few turkeys added to the excitement, but the real stars of the day, aside from the organisers and volunteers, were the athletes. They bowled with enthusiasm, grumbled over missed shots and fist bumped the good ones. They chatted and cheered each other on, even their competitors. They fought for the win, right down to the last frame; and they rallied together to enjoy pizza and wings and news of the medal winners, who were thrilled and shared big grins as their teammates and competition cheered for them. But, even those who didn't come home with any hardware, had a special day of fitness, fun and great memories; and they can't wait to do it all again. Go "Strikes 'R' Us" Go! Sauga Proud!!

A great outing for family and friends of all ages and abilities. It can be played year round - plan ahead or be spontaneous!
