The tournament runs all day and honours Clarkson resident, Karl Steip - gone too soon. Born and raised in the area close to the box, Karl's love of the game was contagious. He was also a community steward of the lacrosse box for many years working to maintain the box and the opportunity for many to enjoy the game.
The community rallied to save the Clarkson Box and have it named after Karl. The City has renovated the facility and the lacrosse players are ready to take the box.

Karl Steip Memorial - Outdoor Box Lacrosse Tournament
The KSM "One Day Summer Shootout" is a men’s 21+ Masters (non-contact) box lacrosse tournament held in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This tournament is to honor Karl Steip a man who truly loved the sport of Lacrosse and gave so much to the sport both on and off the floor.
